Responsibilities

• Provide NICU respiratory care under physician orders and care plans for neonatal patients
• Manage neonatal ventilator support, monitor respiratory status, and adjust settings per protocol
• Perform airway clearance techniques, suctioning, and secretion management as indicated
• Administer prescribed inhaled therapies, bronchodilators, and humidified oxygen; monitor responses
• Collaborate with the NICU team, participate in rounds, document care, and communicate patient status to team members and families
• Ensure equipment safety, routine maintenance, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols
  
  

Requirements

• Active Respiratory Care Practitioner license (California) required
• NBRC credentials: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) preferred
• AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• Experience: minimum 5 years of respiratory care experience, including at least 2 years in NICU
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends on a 3x12-hour schedule
