Overview

Registered Nurse, PACU/post-anesthesia care unit. Westwood, New Jersey, United States. Travel – temporary assignment in a hospital setting. Start date: 05/04/2026. Duration: Weeks. Responsibilities

• Provide Phase I PACU/postoperative care for post-anesthesia patients following general surgery, orthopedic, ortho-spine, and robotic procedures
• Monitor airway management, hemodynamics, EKG/12-lead interpretation; support airway as needed; manage arterial lines
• Administer IV vasopressors, blood products, and analgesia; oversee PCA pump management and pain assessment; manage wound vacs
• Facilitate patient recovery milestones and safe transition from PACU to the next care setting; collaborate with surgical teams
• Maintain accurate charting in Epic and ensure documentation reflects patient status, meds, and interventions
• Respond to changes in patient condition and provide timely escalation according to PACU protocols
  
  

Requirements

• Active RN license in New Jersey
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; community hospital PACU/postoperative care experience preferred
• Proficiency in Phase I PACU care, airway management, invasive line care, and pain management
• Ability to work 3x12-hour day shifts with on-call; comfortable with postoperative surgical caseload including robotic cases
• Proficiency with Epic charting; ability to work in a high-acuity PACU environment
