Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and PACU nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia
• Monitor recovery, including vitals, airway management, pain control, and fluid status
• Administer medications and fluids per protocol; document care in the medical record
• Collaborate with the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and unit staff; prepare for safe PACU discharge
• Respond promptly to emergent situations and ensure patient safety during recovery
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care and recovery expectations

• PACU or pre-operative/post-anesthesia recovery nursing experience preferred
• Day shift availability with on-call duties
• Willingness to work in a rural hospital setting with limited public transportation; personal vehicle recommended
