Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for outpatient procedures, with roles that may include perioperative, PACU, or endoscopy RN duties
• Monitor patients before and after procedures, assess vitals, manage pain, and administer medications within scope of practice
• Collaborate with anesthesia teams, surgeons, and support staff to ensure patient safety and efficient throughput
• Conduct pre-procedure assessments and patient education; prepare patients for discharge with clear postoperative instructions
• Document nursing assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record; maintain infection control and safety standards
• Ensure proper patient transport and turnover for outpatient procedures; participate in post-procedure handoffs and continuity of care
  
  

Requirements

• BLS certification required
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license (state to be verified)
• Experience in outpatient perioperative care (periop, PACU, endoscopy) or similar setting preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work day shift in a 5x8 schedule
