Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adults and geriatrics on a 20-bed MS/Tele unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry, and manage dysrhythmias; respond to rhythm changes as needed
• Administer medications, IV therapies, oxygen delivery, and implement isolation precautions per protocol
• Document in EPIC; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and coordinate with team members (PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Work) as needed
• Perform phlebotomy and IV insertion/maintenance; assist with stroke care and NIHSS assessment when indicated
• Maintain patient safety, implement care plans, and assist with discharge planning as appropriate. May float within scope to MS, ICU, and ED as staffing requires
  
  

Requirements

• Active New York RN license in hand for submission
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year RN experience (Med-Surg or Telemetry strongly preferred)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to float within scope to MS, ICU, ED
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management; NIHSS stroke assessment; phlebotomy and IV insertion/maintenance
