Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to critically ill adults in the ICU, including ongoing assessment, care planning, and evaluation of patient progress
• Serve as nurse lead on the unit during shifts, supervising licensed bedside staff and coordinating patient flow and workload
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, monitor hemodynamic devices, and respond to changes in patient condition per protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other team members to implement and adjust comprehensive care plans
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record, round with the care team, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
• Mentor and support junior nurses and ancillary staff to maintain high patient safety standards and effective unit operations
  
  

Requirements

• Active RN license, current to practice in California
• BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
• Five years of ICU technical experience strongly preferred
• Supervisor/lead experience required
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity ICU environment and fulfill lead responsibilities during shifts
