Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for adults in an inpatient behavioral health unit, including assessments, monitoring, and safety planning
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor responses and side effects, and document in EPIC
• Perform crisis intervention, de-escalation, behavior management, and protection of patients and staff in challenging situations
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed
• Conduct ongoing assessments for mood, psychosis, suicidality, and risk of harm; implement safety measures and, when required, seclusion per policy
• Document care, observations, and interventions accurately in EPIC; participate in shift handoffs and discharge planning as appropriate
  
  

Requirements

• Current NY Registered Nurse license in hand
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Unit: Inpatient adult behavioral health; 20 beds; night shift coverage
• Floating: Required as needed
• Locational requirement: Candidates residing within 75 miles of Clifton Springs, NY will not be accepted
• Education: RN licensure in New York; no additional degree specified in notes
