Overview

Radiology Tech – Radiology in Herrin, IL. This travel assignment begins May 4, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,368 to $2,425 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: Weekend midnights (Friday through Sunday, 19:00–07:30). Setting: hospital radiology department. No OR or fluoroscopy; the technologist will work independently in the X-ray suite, with MRI responsibilities as required by the shift and department needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI and radiography procedures according to radiologist-approved protocols
• Operate MRI and X-ray equipment; position patients and select imaging parameters
• Utilize PACS to verify and attach imaging studies to patient records; ensure accuracy of studies
• Verify scan protocols with the Radiologist and maintain IV/contrast competency as required
• Assist with clerical and office duties to support department efficiency; document exams and maintain workflow in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and radiation safety practices; work independently in the X-ray suite during scheduled shifts
  
  

Requirements

• Active ARRT certification in Radiology
• MRI licensure or MRI certification
• IEMA licensure
• CPR certification
• Education: Associate degree in Radiology or equivalent certification
• Experience: 1 year radiology experience preferred
• Ability to work weekend midnights and perform radiology procedures in a hospital setting; proficient with PACS and radiology workflow
