Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments for a diverse patient population in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans, guiding mobility progression from acute inpatient care to SNF discharge planning
• Provide care across ER, ICU, Med/Surg (Acute, Observation, SNF), with occasional duties in OB, and support a hospital-based outpatient PT Clinic
• Manage a mixed daily schedule of outpatient visits (30–45 minutes) and new evaluations (approximately 60 minutes), often 5–15 patients per day
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe discharge planning, patient education, and functional restoration
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication to support continuity of care and compliance
  
  

Requirements

• Active Hawaii Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain Hawaii licensure quickly
• Eligibility to practice in the United States and to relocate/travel to Kapaa, HI
• Ability to work in hospital-based inpatient and outpatient settings, including ER, ICU, and Med/Surg (Acute, Observation, SNF); occasional OB coverage
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient PT settings preferred; independent practice in a rural island environment is valued
• Availability to work Monday–Friday with potential Saturdays; flexible hours as needed
