Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to assigned patients within the scope of practice for an LPN in a long-term care/hospital setting
• Monitor patient status, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and document care accurately
• Assess and respond to patient needs, ensuring safety, dignity, and rights are maintained
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and RNs, to implement and adjust care plans
• Perform basic nursing procedures, including IV therapy within the scope of practice and competency
• Maintain open communication with patients, families, and team members; participate in ongoing competency and quality improvement activities
  
  

Requirements

• Current Alaska LPN license in good standing
• Current CPR certification (BCLS) and current BLS
• Graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program
• New graduates accepted; one year of hospital or long-term care experience preferred
• IV therapy certification or coursework preferred
• Ability to work nights and function effectively in a travel assignment within a hospital setting
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required
