We are a specialty surgery practice seeking an experienced Medical Biller / AR Specialist to join our team full-time in Odenton MD. This is a hands-on, in-office role ideal for someone with private practice experience who can step in and contribute immediately. This is an in-office position with no remote work, so the incoming candidate must be willing to work full time in our office in Odenton. Must have experience working directly for a private practice, not a hospital or billing company, doing billing, coding, charge entry, and AR work only.

Duties:
- Handle billing, coding, charge entry, and A/R follow-up
- Submit and track insurance authorizations & pre-certifications
- Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals
- Analyze EOBs for underpayments and zero-pay claims
- Work directly with insurance companies and patient accounts
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Assign ICD-10 & CPT codes based on documentation
- Reduce aged A/R and improve collections
- Collaborate with clinical and front office teams
- Required: Experience working in a private medical practice (not hospital or billing company)
- Strong background in A/R, billing, coding, and charge entry
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines (commercial government)
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
- Able to manage multiple tasks independently
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- In-office only (Odenton, MD) – no remote
- $55K/year
