What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linen Tech position at Healthcare Linen Services Group?
PURPOSE: To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for filling and moving carts to assigned areas within the hospital. Provides a superior level of linen service throughout the hospital in a friendly and timely manner. Must meet quality and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Be on time
- Have excellent attendance
- Meet established hospital standards
- Follow all company safety rules
- Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
- Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Possess and maintain a positive attitude
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
- Be able to work past the schedule, as transportation issues may arise
- Perform any other duties as manager/supervisor sees fit
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cross-train in other positions per facility needs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Be able to stand on feet up to 12 hours a day
- Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
- Sufficient manual dexterity to build linen carts
- Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling
Must be able to accurately perform simple mathematics
