Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project management of migrating the organization from SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Subscription Edition (SPSE)
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, milestones, risks, and deliverables
- Coordinate with infrastructure, security, application, and business stakeholders to ensure migration readiness
- Partner with SharePoint architects/engineers to assess current environments, dependencies, integrations, and customizations
- Oversee migration strategy including content migration, site collections, workflows, permissions, and third-party integrations
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, steering committee meetings, and executive communications
- Identify project risks, roadblocks, and dependencies and proactively implement mitigation plans
- Ensure proper governance, compliance, security, and documentation throughout the migration process
- Manage testing phases including system testing, UAT, performance testing, and validation efforts
- Coordinate cutover planning, go-live execution, and post-migration support activities
- Track project deliverables and ensure deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards
- Collaborate with change management teams to support end-user communication, training, and adoption efforts
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager leading enterprise infrastructure, collaboration platform, or SharePoint-related initiatives
- Proven experience managing SharePoint migration or upgrade projects, specifically involving SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online, or SharePoint Subscription Edition
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, migration methodologies, and best practices
- Experience working with SharePoint migration tools such as ShareGate, Metalogix, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments)
- Experience managing cross-functional technical teams including infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams
- Strong risk management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Microsoft 365 environments is a plus
- PMP, Scrum Master, or related certifications preferred
