- We are supporting a client seeking an experienced Cerner Discern Expert with deep hands-on experience building, modifying, and troubleshooting clinical Discern Rules within Millennium environments. This is a focused, part-time engagement dedicated to clearing a backlog of rule-related tickets and optimizing existing clinical logic.
- W2 Only – This role is not open to submissions from Vendors at this time
- Duration is 1-3 months
- 20 hours per week, fully remote
- Start Date is ASAP
- Work independently to analyze, update, build, and troubleshoot clinical Discern Rules
- Review and resolve outstanding rule tickets in collaboration with the Clinical Experience team
- Validate logic, ensure proper triggering behavior, and maintain alignment with current workflows
- Support rule testing and confirm downstream impacts across clinical applications
- Communicate progress, barriers, and recommendations to leadership
- Strong proficiency with Cerner Discern Rules / CCL
- Background working with clinical-facing rules (Ambulatory, Inpatient, or specialty clinical workflows)
- Experience diagnosing rule behavior, alert logic, and workflow integration
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
