Role Overview: This position oversees patient care standards in hospital or clinic settings, supervising Respiratory Therapists and EKG Technicians, coordinating schedules, and ensuring quality care.
Key Responsibilities: Acts as a resource to staff and medical personnel, manages human resources, conducts chart audits, maintains equipment, and ensures medication safety. Provides patient-centered care tailored to age-specific needs, respecting privacy and communication preferences. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and maintains compliance with regulations and standards.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in adult care, and current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist. Certifications include BLS and ACLS, with PALS preferred. Must possess computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of equipment maintenance.
Additional Requirements: Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, exposure to biohazards and communicable diseases, and adherence to safety protocols. Commitment to ethical standards and compliance with healthcare laws.
