Role: Associate General Counsel – Contracts – Healthcare and Commercial Transactions
Responsibilities: Provide strategic legal guidance on healthcare and contract law, review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts including services, employment, research, and data agreements. Offer counsel on regulatory, privacy, and operational matters, interpret laws and regulations, and support hospital initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders and serve on committees as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: Juris Doctor degree, admission to the New York State Bar, minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in healthcare and transactional law. Strong knowledge of healthcare laws (HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback), excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and client service skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Preferred: 8 years of legal experience, in-house counsel background, familiarity with risk management, and the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
