As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated **Medical Biller/Coder** to join our existing billing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurate coding, efficient billing processes, and ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance providers. Your expertise will directly contribute to optimizing our revenue cycle, improving documentation accuracy, and supporting the overall financial health of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
* **Must be proficient in Practice Fusion EHR and associated billing software, as well as AdvancedMD billing systems**
* Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate **ICD-9, ICD-10 diagnosis codes and CPT procedure codes**
* Ensure accurate application of **DRG classifications** when applicable
* Prepare and submit clean claims through EMR/EHR systems, ensuring all documentation is complete
* Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims and manage the full medical collections process
* Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts accurately
* Maintain organized and compliant medical records aligned with coding and billing standards
* Stay current with updates in coding regulations, payer policies, and compliance requirements
* Collaborate with providers and staff to clarify documentation and improve coding accuracy
* Identify inefficiencies and contribute to improving billing workflows and collections
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of **medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology**
* Expertise in **ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, and DRG systems**
* Proven experience with **medical billing, claim submission, payment posting, and collections**
* Proficiency with **Practice Fusion EHR and AdvancedMD billing software (required)**
* Ability to interpret complex medical documentation with a high degree of accuracy
* Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
