SVP, Financial Planning & Analysis

Health Monitor Network
Montvale, NJ Full Time
POSTED ON 7/24/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/24/2026

Health Monitor Network (HMN), a portfolio company of Gridiron Capital, is seeking a Senior Vice President of Finance to serve as the CFO's principal strategic partner and the senior-most FP&A leader in the organization. This is an enterprise-level role accountable for building and leading a best-in-class financial planning & analysis function, driving corporate development and M&A strategy, and translating financial insight into the strategic decisions that shape HMN's growth, profitability, and value-creation trajectory under private equity ownership.

The SVP of Finance will operate as a true business partner to the CEO, CFO, and Executive Leadership Team — not simply producing analysis, but shaping strategy, challenging assumptions, and driving the financial narrative presented to the Board of Directors and Gridiron Capital. This individual will build and lead a high-performing FP&A team, elevate the company's planning and analytical infrastructure, and serve as a key architect of HMN's path to its next stage of growth, including evaluation and integration of acquisitions such as the recent D R Lathian transaction.

The ideal candidate brings deep FP&A leadership experience, a track record of strategic business partnership at the executive level, prior exposure to private equity ownership and reporting rigor, and the gravitas to operate credibly with the CEO, CFO, Board, and sponsor.

Essential Job Functions

  • Serve as the CFO's principal strategic partner and thought leader on enterprise financial strategy, long-range planning, and value-creation initiatives
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing FP&A organization, establishing the team, tools, processes, and talent needed to scale with the business
  • Own the annual strategic plan, operating plan, and forecast processes end-to-end, driving cross-functional alignment with the CEO, CFO, and business unit leaders
  • Act as a standing strategic advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, proactively surfacing insights, risks, and opportunities that shape business decisions rather than simply reporting results
  • Own preparation of Board of Directors and Gridiron Capital materials, partnering directly with the CFO and CEO to shape the strategic narrative, key messages, and value-creation storyline
  • Direct the enhancement of month-end financial management reporting, including variance analysis, trends, KPIs, and executive-ready commentary that drives action
  • Lead corporate development activity, including sourcing, evaluating, financially modeling, and diligencing tuck-in acquisition targets, and driving post-close financial integration
  • Partner with the CEO and CFO on capital allocation, pricing strategy, go-to-market economics, and resource prioritization across products, customers, and business units
  • Analyze profitability by product, customer, and business unit, translating findings into specific, actionable recommendations for senior leadership
  • Design, implement, and continuously elevate scalable, best-in-class planning, forecasting, and analytical capabilities, including systems, processes, and performance metrics
  • Represent Finance in cross-functional strategic initiatives, influencing decisions across Sales, Marketing, Client Services, and Operations
  • Build and mentor a team of FP&A professionals, establishing a bench of financial talent to support HMN's continued growth
  • Ensure rigorous, PE-grade reporting discipline, including sponsor reporting requirements, covenant compliance, and value-creation plan tracking

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA strongly preferred
  • 15 years of progressive finance experience, including significant time in FP&A leadership, financial strategy, or corporate development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated experience as a strategic partner to a CEO, CFO, or Executive Leadership Team — not solely as a reporting or analytical function
  • Direct experience operating within a private equity–backed environment required, including sponsor reporting, value-creation initiatives, and board-level engagement
  • Prior experience in an advertising-supported business model strongly preferred; experience in media, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries a plus
  • Proven track record building, scaling, and leading FP&A teams, including hiring, developing, and retaining top financial talent
  • Substantial experience preparing and presenting to Boards of Directors and private equity sponsors
  • Hands-on experience evaluating, modeling, and integrating M&A or tuck-in acquisitions
  • Executive presence and the credibility to influence and challenge senior leaders across the organization
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, decision-ready insight for non-financial audiences
  • High intellectual curiosity, sound business judgment, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Direct Reports

This role is expected to lead and build out a growing FP&A team, with direct reports to be determined based on organizational design.
