Registered Nurse Manager - Hospital Care Management, Full-Time, Day

Job Summary

Responsible for managing daily operations of Hospital Care Management, including staffing, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives. Collaborates with leadership and community providers to develop programs that enhance care transitions, physician partnerships, patient advocacy, and fiscal accountability.

Essential Functions

• Ensure team compliance with organizational purpose and demonstrate clinical expertise in care management, medical necessity criteria, and documentation systems.
• Lead staff development, education, and care management strategies while mentoring clinical staff.
• Identify and address barriers to effective care, improving patient, staff, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee human resources activities including hiring, performance reviews, and policy development.
• Manage department budgets and financial activities.
• Collect and analyze data to measure departmental impact, conduct audits, and ensure data integrity.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and develop policies to support service delivery.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Direct and/or indirect supervision of staff, including hiring, performance management, and budget authority.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Three years of acute care case management experience, with bedside RN experience preferred, and one year of leadership experience preferred.
  
  

In Lieu Of

• Consideration for diploma or associate degree in Nursing if enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within one year and complete within four years.
  
  

Certifications, Licenses

• Current RN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact or licensed in the practicing state.
• ACM or CCM certification preferred.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledge of medical necessity criteria such as Interqual or MCG.
