Essential Functions
- Perform assessments and reassessments of patients' physical and educational needs under physician or Certified Wound Care Clinician guidance, communicating needs to the team and providing discharge teaching.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, collaborating with the wound care team to ensure efficient, cost-effective treatment using current modalities.
- Educate patients and caregivers on evidence-based wound care practices and promote community awareness of healthy practices.
- Identify resource management and patient care issues, working with the team to find cost-effective solutions and facilitate discharges.
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR, including product use and charges.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties as trained, if needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Minimum of two years nursing experience, with a focus on skin and wound care; Wound Vac experience preferred.
- Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or applicable state licensing.
- Wound and Ostomy certification preferred.
