The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being, following a plan of care under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Adheres to state laws and supervises PT directives, performing only qualified procedures and suggesting plan modifications.
- Instructs patients in active/passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
- Monitors, records, and reports patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT and healthcare team.
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers within the scope of practice.
- Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy assistance.
- CPR certification and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in diverse home environments and handle physical tasks like lifting and mobility assistance.
- Willingness to work a weekend rotation.
Salary : $25 - $38
