Role Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being, following a plan of care under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Adheres to state laws and supervises PT directives, performing only qualified procedures and suggesting plan modifications.
• Instructs patients in active/passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Monitors, records, and reports patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT and healthcare team.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers within the scope of practice.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy assistance.
• CPR certification and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in diverse home environments and handle physical tasks like lifting and mobility assistance.
• Willingness to work a weekend rotation.
  
  

Compensation: Annual total cash target between $52,417 and $78,625, with hourly rates from $25.20 to $37.80 and per visit pay ranging from $30.24 to $45.36.
