CT Technologist

Role: CT Technologist responsible for delivering safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at a medical center.

Key Duties

• Perform CT procedures following department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to minimize radiation exposure (ALARA).
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of rooms and equipment, report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and confirm patient identity before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET, addressing patient questions and reducing anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety, providing age-appropriate care.
• Administer contrast and perform venipuncture using sterile techniques as needed.
• Position patients correctly, apply shielding, and review images for quality.
• Accurately document procedures, ensure studies are finalized in RIS/PACS, and handle administrative tasks.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and support department operations.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association).
