Job Summary
Healing Hearts Home Care is seeking an experienced Compliance & Quality Assurance Officer to conduct weekly internal audits and ensure the agency remains compliant with North Carolina Medicaid regulations and agency policies. This position is responsible for reviewing personnel files, client records, documentation, and compliance processes while providing recommendations for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly audits of caregiver personnel files.
- Review client charts for Medicaid compliance.
- Audit home care and behavioral health documentation for completeness and compliance.
- Review assessments, plans of care, supervisory visits, authorizations, and required forms.
- Ensure documentation supports billed services.
- Identify missing or expired credentials, training, and required documents.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining deficiencies and corrective actions.
- Monitor corrective actions until resolved.
- Maintain survey readiness at all times.
- Recommend process improvements to strengthen compliance.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of Medicaid home care compliance experience.
- Experience auditing personnel and client records.
- Strong knowledge of North Carolina Medicaid regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Experience with PCS, CAP, or Behavioral Health services.
- Experience with HHAeXchange or another EVV platform.
- Experience preparing agencies for state surveys or Medicaid audits.
Pay: $22.91 - $27.59 per hour
