What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Corporate Accountant position at Headfarmer?
Headfarmer is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant with 5 years of experience to support our client with multi-entity and multi-location accounting functions. Located in Scottsdale, the company is a well-established leader in the outdoor recreation industry, and they're continuing to expand their operations nationwide. This engagement will be at least 3 months, with a strong possibility of becomin long-term.
Work model: Monday through Friday in office with early out's on Friday's.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and reporting
- Manage accounting activities across multiple legal entities, including intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, identifying trends and variances
- Assist with preparing consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Support leadership with Ad Hoc requests, process improvement projects and other special intiatives
Education, requirements and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business degree
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a multi-entity or multi-location environment
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processes
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working within a large ERP system (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
- Above-average collaboration skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
