Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will support the monthly close process, financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting across multiple entities. This role works closely with leadership and plays a key part in maintaining accurate financials while contributing to process improvements and operational efficiencies.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow within a stable and high-performing accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Analyze financial data and investigate variances
- Maintain accuracy across general ledger activity and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with preparation of internal financial reporting packages
- Participate in annual audit support and compliance-related activities
- Partner with teams across finance and operations to improve reporting and workflows
- Contribute to process enhancements and automation initiatives
- Assist with cash activity tracking and account reconciliations
- Help maintain fixed asset and intercompany accounting records
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Approximately 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Experience within real estate, construction, development, property management, or similarly complex environments preferred
- Public accounting background highly attractive
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems such as Yardi is a plus
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
