Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering, combined with at least 10 years work-related experience
• Previous experience in the areas of Design for Manufacturing, Cost out, VAVE and supplier negotiations
• Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities
• Experience working closely with external suppliers (Required)
• Performance within a medical device production environment or other regulated environment (Preferred)
• Measurement Systems Analysis (i.e. GR&R)
• Statistical Analysis knowledge (i.e. Design of Experiments, Process Stability/Control/Capability)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as an integral part of Cost out teams and drive VAVE to meets product cost commitments
• Develop, design and propose concepts leveraging alternate manufacturing methods and/or material for high-cost components/assemblies.
• Perform engineering feasibility study for concepts proposed and demonstrate feasibility with data, samples, simulations or prototypes.
• Communicate with external suppliers to identify vendor source for proposed design fabrication.
• Perform product cost improvement evaluation activities on mechanical designs.
• Preparation of Project Charter for the Cost improvement project
• Coordinate to develop equipment’s, tooling, and manufacturing processes to meet project requirements in compliance with User requirements, Quality, Regulatory, Safety and Ergonomic standards
• Incorporate risk mitigation methodology to drive process stability and capability
• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
• Responsible for ensuring personnel and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

Required Knowledge, Skills

• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation, preferably in the medical industry.
• Ability to read, interpret, redline and make recommendations on engineering drawings
• Tolerance stack up, GD&T experience, preferably
• Six Sigma Green belt certification, preferably
• VAVE experience - Essential
• PMI Project Management Professional certification, preferably
• Knowledge of various manufacturing processes to make metal, plastic and/or electrical components
• Knowledge of computer programs.
• Oral and written communication in English.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $48.0 per hour

Pay Range Maximum: $51.00 per hour

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
