Job Summary and Qualifications

The Medical Lab Technician performs test, inputs patient information and test results into computer, performs computer functions as needed and assist in other duties as directed by laboratory supervisor/manager. The Medical Lab Technician is proficient in one or more of the following disciplines as determined by departmental needs: Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Immunohematology (Blood Bank).

• Minimum Education: Associate Degree Minimum Experience: 6 months to 1year preferred not required.
• Required Certification: Must possess MLT or equivalent certification, or be currently eligible to sit for MLT or equivalent certification exam.
• Certification as MLT (ASCP) or equivalent is required within 180 days of hire.
• Skills: Fundamental knowledge of laboratory medicine, leadership and business skills.

What qualifications you will need:

• (MLT) Medical Laboratory Technician must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Associate Degree
• No Travel Required
