Job Summary and Qualifications
Reports to the Chief of Public Safety to ensure that all policies and procedures pertaining to the Security and Safety of the Hospital and its patients, visitors, and employees are followed. To assist in creating an efficient and effective program for the best interest of patients, visitors, employees, and hospital property.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Customer Service Skills
2. Responsible for the physical security of the building.
3. Coordinate any emergency during his/her shift.
4. Controls loud or disorderly patients/visitors and summons police to assist, if necessary.
5. Investigate crimes or problems within the Hospital and conduct any follow-up investigations required.
6. Protect the crime scene until police take over all serious criminal cases.
7. Maintain storage and documentation of lost and found items including stolen property.
8. Maintain safe and secure environment in the hospital parking lots.
9. Any other duties which may be assigned by the Director of Public Safety or Shift Supervisor.
