Position Summary
The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving enterprise-wide revenue growth, brand positioning, and market expansion for Hangcha Forklift America across all business segments in the United States.
This role provides strategic and operational leadership over national sales, dealer development, marketing, and customer engagement initiatives spanning material handling, warehousing, logistics, industrial, port, agriculture, construction, and emerging equipment markets.
The VP will be responsible for aligning sales and marketing strategies to accelerate market share growth, strengthen the dealer network, enhance brand visibility, and position Hangcha Forklift America as a leading provider of innovative material handling solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute the company’s overall U.S. sales and marketing strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Partner with the President and global leadership to define long-term vision, revenue targets, and market positioning.
- Lead cross-functional alignment across sales, marketing, product, operations, and dealer development.
- Identify new market segments, verticals, and revenue streams across all product lines.
Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
- Lead national sales strategy across all divisions, including dealer sales, direct sales, and strategic accounts.
- Establish and drive achievement of aggressive revenue targets, profitability goals, and market share expansion.
- Build and lead a high-performing sales organization, including regional leaders, account managers, and channel partners.
- Implement sales processes, KPIs, forecasting models, and performance management systems.
Marketing & Brand Leadership
- Oversee all marketing functions including brand strategy, digital marketing, demand generation, product marketing, and communications.
- Elevate brand awareness and positioning across U.S. markets, aligning with global Hangcha branding.
- Drive integrated marketing campaigns to support dealer sales, product launches, and market expansion.
- Lead trade show strategy, industry presence, and public relations initiatives.
- Utilize data-driven marketing insights to optimize lead generation and customer acquisition.
Dealer Network Development & Channel Strategy
- Expand, strengthen, and optimize the national dealer network to ensure full market coverage.
- Develop channel strategies that balance dealer growth, performance, and profitability.
- Establish dealer standards, training programs, and performance metrics.
- Recruit and onboard new dealers in strategic territories and underserved markets.
Key Accounts & Strategic Partnerships
- Develop and manage relationships with national accounts, large fleet operators, logistics companies, ports, and industrial customers.
- Lead enterprise-level sales initiatives, major bids, and long-term partnership agreements.
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships to expand distribution and market reach.
Product & Market Development
- Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to align offerings with U.S. market demands.
- Provide voice-of-customer and market intelligence to guide product innovation and roadmap decisions.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies (e.g., electrification, automation).
Compensation Strategy & Performance Management
- Design and implement national sales compensation and incentive programs aligned with company growth objectives.
- Ensure compensation structures drive performance, accountability, and retention across sales teams and channels.
- Continuously evaluate and refine incentive models based on business performance and market dynamics.
Operational & Financial Leadership
- Own overall sales and marketing P&L performance, including revenue, margin, and budget management.
- Lead forecasting, demand planning, and alignment with inventory and supply chain operations.
- Establish scalable processes and infrastructure to support rapid growth.
- Ensure alignment between sales commitments and operational execution.
Industry Leadership & Representation
- Represent Hangcha Forklift America at major industry events, trade shows, and associations across material handling, logistics, and industrial sectors.
- Strengthen the company’s reputation and influence within key industry groups.
- Serve as a thought leader in material handling innovation and market trends.
Requirements
- 10-15 years of progressive experience within the material handling industry
- 7-10 years in senior leadership roles overseeing national sales with national accounts and dealers, and/or marketing functions within the related industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
- Proven track record of scaling revenue, building teams, and expanding market share
- Experience managing dealer networks, national accounts, and multi-channel distribution models
