The Role
- Develop and review quality management plans and maintenance policies for an aviation support facility.
- Conduct comprehensive quality assessments to identify issues and improve work processes and product quality.
- Serve as the primary authority on quality assurance, providing technical guidance to leadership and resolving related problems.
- Manage and maintain technical libraries, ensuring all directives and operating instructions are current and compliant.
- Monitor safety-of-flight and aviation safety action message programs, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Investigate equipment failure trends and make recommendations for engineering design improvements.
- Proven experience in quality assurance, particularly within a technical or maintenance environment.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing quality programs, identifying deviations, and developing corrective actions.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical manuals and regulatory guidelines.
- Experience with equipment inspection, calibration, and maintenance documentation.
- Capacity to perform management and compliance reviews across various functions.
- Active membership in the Virginia Army National Guard (E1/PVT - E8/MSG) or eligibility and willingness to join immediately.
