Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer (Angular and Java)
Pittsburgh, PA - Hybrid
BNY is hiring a VP-level Full-Stack Engineer to join their Global Risk Solutions team, building and enhancing high-volume, low-latency investment analytics applications. You’ll take ownership of full-stack delivery across Angular front ends and Java-based backend services, shaping architecture and engineering standards across a major global platform.
What you will do
- Design, build and maintain Java and Angular applications across front end and backend
- Lead technical design and documentation for multi-platform systems
- Work closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to refine requirements
- Contribute to code reviews and integrate components into production systems
- Apply security, privacy and performance principles to all application design
- Lead troubleshooting and production support using logs and code investigation
What you will bring
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience with Java 17, Spring Boot 3, Spring 6, Angular (v6 to v17), HTML, CSS, Node.js and JSON
- Strong full-stack capability across UI and backend services
- Experience with micro frontends and SSO integrations
- Knowledge of SQL, RDBMS and familiarity with NoSQL
- RESTful API expertise and microservices architectural understanding
- Experience with on-prem and container-based environments
- Strong SDLC and DevOps experience including CI/CD, Git and related tools
- Ability to diagnose production issues using Splunk and code-level analysis
