About the Company
One of the nations leading homebuilders is looking for an Accounting Senior Analyst, General Accounting to join their team—someone who is not only strong in accounting fundamentals, but also excited about transforming processes through technology, automation, and AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Executing core general accounting functions, including fixed assets, leases, inventory, accruals, and allocations
- Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Ensuring compliance with US GAAP while improving accuracy and efficiency across processes
- Supporting internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and responding to auditor requests
- Identifying and implementing process improvements and automation initiatives, leveraging AI and emerging technologies
- Partnering cross-functionally with FP&A, Procurement, Operations, Treasury, and Internal Audit to optimize systems and data quality
- Driving innovation—rethinking traditional accounting workflows using automation and AI-enabled tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–5 years of accounting experience (public accounting and/or public company experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- CPA (or actively pursuing)
- Experience in real estate or construction industries
- Familiarity with tools such as JD Edwards, Hyperion, Blackline, Power BI, or Alteryx
- Exposure to AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) and automation technologies
- Experience driving process improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
