Engineering Project ManagerPermanent Colorado Springs, CO – Pay ($80K-$105K)

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.


Our client is seeking a Engineering Project Manager in Colorado Springs, CO.

Role Description

  • Responsible for all aspects of project management on assigned projects.
  • Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans while conferring with management.
  • Consult with management and other stakeholders to determine feasibility, effectiveness, and priority.
  • Determine responsibilities of project phases and elements and assign personnel.
  • Generate schedules by studying project specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
  • Maintain schedules by coordinating activities, providing accountability, and resolving problems.
  • Provide accurate and timely information supporting quality decision making across and at all levels of the organization.
  • Manage the process related to review and release of project deliverables.
  • Advise management of new developments which may affect schedule, costs, customer and/or inter-departmental relations.
  • Responsible for scheduling, facilitating and documenting project team meetings.
  • Scheduling and facilitating gate reviews by working with department stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure gate review criteria are met and documentation is complete.
  • Administer project management within the Project Tracking Software.
  • Occasional travel to related facilities for training or facilitating project activities.

Required/Preferred Experience:

  • 2 Years’ experience leading technical projects required
  • Background in optical, mechanical, electrical technologies or similar required
  • Strong technical, interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills
  • A proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously while balancing priority
  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational skills


Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required


What are the top Three – Five Skills?

  • Must have a technical background while project experience. This can be optics, electronics, semiconductor, electric… anything at technical products. Not people from construction, IT, bank, services. Must come from manufacturing.
  • Must have experience already leading several different projects at the same time. Must be able to update all stakeholders, prioritize knowledge. Will be working with teams in California, Indiana and Colorado.
  • Must have project experience with product development. From concept to product to release.
  • Between 2 – 8 years’ experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • No need to be a PMP.


Pluses, nice to have?

Optics, microelectronics, or semiconductor background.
