Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 8 years of electrical engineering design experience
- 4 years leading engineering projects and/or teams
- Experience designing power, lighting, and low-voltage systems for commercial, institutional, healthcare, or mixed-use projects
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and coordination of electrical building systems
- Prepare and oversee power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and low-voltage system designs
- Perform and review calculations, equipment selections, layouts, and specifications
- Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and technical quality
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers
- Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, and contractors
- Support construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and field observations
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and industry standards
- Participate in client meetings and support business development initiatives
