We’re partnered with a well‑established and steadily growing heavy/civil construction contractor operating throughout the New York City and Tri‑State area. For more than two decades, this firm has delivered high‑quality public infrastructure projects, including utility work, site work, roadway improvements, and bridge‑related scopes for major city and state agencies.
Your New Role
As a Junior Estimator, you will work closely with senior estimators and project leadership to support the preparation of competitive bids for utility, site, and heavy civil projects.
The company is known for its commitment to quality, strong field operations, and a collaborative team culture that supports long‑term career growth. With a healthy pipeline of public and private work, they are now looking to add a Junior Estimator to their estimating department.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- 1–4 years of experience in heavy civil construction (field or estimating)
- Hands‑on exposure to site work, utilities, or general civil construction is highly preferred
- Interest in pursuing a long‑term career in estimating
- Familiarity with public agency work (NYSDOT, NYCDEP, NYCDDC, etc.) is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Experience with HCSS, Bluebeam, or similar estimating tools is beneficial (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under deadlines
- Ability to commute to the company’s NYC office daily
