Our client is seeking a strategic and operationally focused Chief Financial Officer to join a high-growth organization entering its next phase of scale. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for building a world-class finance organization while providing the financial leadership necessary to support continued expansion.

This executive will oversee all aspects of finance, accounting, treasury, tax, planning and analysis, compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate brings a combination of hands-on financial leadership, strategic thinking, operational rigor, and experience preparing organizations for significant growth events, including potential public market readiness.


Key Areas of Responsibility


Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape long-term business strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Provide financial insight and decision support related to investments, expansion opportunities, pricing, capital allocation, and operational priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on financial performance, risk exposure, and business planning.


Financial Planning & Performance

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Develop performance metrics and reporting frameworks that enhance visibility into business operations.
  • Deliver financial analyses that drive profitability, cash generation, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee financial modeling and scenario planning to support executive decision-making.


Finance Operations & Controls

  • Direct all accounting, treasury, tax, audit, and financial reporting functions.
  • Establish scalable financial systems, processes, and controls capable of supporting rapid organizational growth.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and other applicable standards.
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls and governance structures to mitigate risk.


Capital Markets & IPO Readiness

  • Lead financial preparedness efforts for future capital market transactions, including potential IPO initiatives.
  • Develop public-company level reporting infrastructure, compliance processes, and governance frameworks.
  • Partner with legal, audit, banking, and advisory partners on strategic financing and reporting initiatives.
  • Oversee readiness for SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and other public-company requirements.


Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Evaluate organizational needs and establish the finance structure required for future growth.


External Relationships

  • Manage relationships with banking partners, auditors, tax advisors, investors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Support financing initiatives, capital planning activities, and corporate transactions as needed.


Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, and business operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading finance organizations in high-growth or transformational environments.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, treasury management, and cash flow optimization.
  • Experience implementing and strengthening financial controls, governance, and compliance programs.
  • Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business recommendations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder management abilities.


Preferred Experience

  • 10 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
  • Prior CFO, Deputy CFO, VP Finance, or other senior executive finance leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting companies through significant growth, transformation, recapitalization, M&A activity, or public company preparation.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or other advanced financial credentials are highly desirable.

Position includes PTO, health insurance, bonus, and is full-time in-office.
