What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at Haynes Materials Company?
Laborer
Laborers are required to perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to running a skid steer, assisting with mechanical repairs and maintenance, as well as overall clean-up.
The qualified candidate will have:
- Strong work ethic
- 1-2 years’ experience in a relevant role. Quarry experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools, levels, drills, grinders, saws, etc. in a safe and effective manner.
- Ability to run heavy equipment safely, including skid steers, loaders, etc.
- Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team environment
- Ability to take direction from team leader, foremen or superintendent
- Must have physical strength, coordination, and endurance to perform the required functions.
- Willingness to take on new training to help obtain personal and company goals
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comply with and promote all safety policies and procedures, including reporting all accidents, incidents, and near misses to ensure adherence to the Company’s safety policy.
- Wear PPE at all times on the job site.
Schedule
- 8-10 hour shifts
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime after 40 hours
- Weekends
