Overview:
Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This position can be based out of our office in Tulsa, Oklahoma or San Bernardino, California. The Senior Accountant will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department with a focus on Cash Management. You will play a key role in supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Monthly preparation of financial statements will be critical. You should have a desire to mentor junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:

- · Assist the Accounts Payable team as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- · Manage Accounts Receivable emails and perform reconciliations.
- Oversee Cash Management, including daily reconciliation and cash status projections.
- Handle wire transfers and positive pay transactions.
- Prepare journal entries, perform financial analysis, and conduct account reconciliations.
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Audit General Ledger (GL) accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with month-end closing for Hayden Industrial.
- Prepare financial statements for Hydraulics Technology, Inc.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure smooth financial operations and information flow.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed within the finance department and throughout day-to-day activities.
- Assist the Controller with any additional departmental tasks as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- 4 years of accounting experience, including hand-on Accounts Payable responsibilities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Possess strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential material.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of general ledger systems, financial chart of accounts, and company policies.
- Attention to fine detail and accuracy.

Supervisor Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The Senior Accountant position is primarily based in an office environment, with tasks typically performed at a desk or workstation. The role requires extended periods of sitting, frequent use of office equipment, and repetitive motions such as typing and using a mouse. Occasional lifting of office supplies or files (up to 25 pounds) may also be required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Travel:
Travel is not required for this position.
