Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: 85-95k/year
Position Overview:
System One is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to support general ledger activities, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. This role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the general ledger, including preparing and posting monthly journal entries (accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions)
- Perform detailed monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits
- Support internal reporting and provide ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
- Assist in compiling audit work papers and regulatory filings
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3–5 years of corporate accounting or public accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Google Sheets/Docs is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
