Responsibilities
- Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities including arts and crafts, sports, educational games, and outdoor play
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques
- Implement first aid protocols when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, to respond promptly to emergencies
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed
- Collaborate with team members to develop engaging youth programs that promote social skills, teamwork, and personal growth
- Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports to ensure compliance with safety standards
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, babysitting, or youth programs is highly preferred
- Demonstrated classroom management skills and knowledge of childhood development principles
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain these certifications upon hire
- Experience facilitating youth group activities or teaching young children in educational or recreational environments
- Outdoor work experience that involves supervising children in playgrounds or outdoor settings
- Background in special education or working with children with diverse needs is a plus
- Strong team leadership abilities combined with excellent communication skills to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Pay: $15.00 per hour
