SQL Stored Procedure Developer

Summary

Contract SQL Developer role supporting a major enterprise client's billing technology team. This is heavy hands-on SQL development work (~70 80% of the role) building complex queries and stored procedures, with automation work supporting a large-scale system integration. The team recently migrated from Oracle to Snowflake, so current Snowflake experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Heavy SQL development (70 80% of role): complex queries and stored procedures (inner/outer joins); high-volume query work (up to ~200 queries to complete a project)
• Build and maintain stored-procedure-based automation across billing platforms
• Work from stakeholder requirements: attend meetings, understand requests, partner with BAs, and clearly explain approach and progress
• Follow the full SDLC: design, code, configure, test, debug, document
• Participate in design and code reviews
• On-call support rotation: ~1x every 5 weeks (after-hours weekdays weekends)
  
  

Must-Have Skills

• Strong SQL development complex queries and stored procedures
• Snowflake database experience (team recently moved from Oracle to Snowflake)
• Communication skills able to explain work to stakeholders and gather requirements

• Billing systems experience (CSG and/or ICOMS)
• Oracle-to-Snowflake migration experience
• Telecom/billing domain background
