The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will provide leadership, direction, and accountability for building and running large-scale software systems. Collaboration with other engineering teams is essential to maintain stable, high-performing services and systems that meet business and end-user expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide architecture and development teams to ensure applications are highly available, reliable, and performant at scale.
- Partner with the architecture team to ensure operability, measurability, and manageability are integrated into business features and enablers.
- Collaborate with product owners and managers to establish service level objectives (SLOs) and define consequences if objectives are not met.
- Work with development teams to identify monitoring gaps, improve application performance, and troubleshoot issues.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues and failures within software, pipelines, or DevOps support processes.
- Design, implement, and advocate for automated solutions to optimize uptime with minimal human intervention.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for troubleshooting and communication outside normal business hours.
- Develop and implement standards and best practices, driving adoption across development teams and external vendors.
