Job Description
Assist with providing financial guidance and analytical support within the Finance Department regarding system (on-line journal entry, general ledger, property, etc.) administration and development; planning and analysis of complex financial issues, including fuel transactions, taxes, debt issuances/refinancing and other special projects; cash and cost budgeting/monitoring for employee benefits, debt service, depreciation, overhead allocations, etc.; maintenance ; and preparation of a variety of monthly and annual financial reports, surveys, financial statements, and tax certifications. Familiarity with annual financial close processes and financial/compliance audit processes.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university plus 6yrs experience.
- Knowledge of financial and accounting concepts including generally accepted accounting principles and state and federal tax laws.
- Knowledge of Passport and/or PeopleSoft.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and nuclear accounting issues.
- Demonstrates analytical skills where multiple probable solutions can be brought to the team or management for decision making.
- Ability to recognize and assess a challenge and raise it to the appropriate level.
- Work with all levels of individuals within the organization.
- Ability to maximize performance through leadership.
- CPA, CMA certification preferred, but not required.
