Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, focusing on literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning, creativity, and curiosity among children.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful space for all students.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Incorporate Montessori principles or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences where applicable.
- Support children’s emotional well-being by practicing child welfare best practices and providing guidance on social interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans in compliance with school policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field; Montessori certification is a plus.
- Proven classroom experience working with children across preschool or daycare settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development stages, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring sessions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and team members.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and literacy education methods.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics confidently while fostering a nurturing environment for diverse learners.
