Low Voltage Solar Technician, Commercial Solar
About the role: Harvest Power is seeking a Low Voltage Solar Technician to head up installing serial communications/monitoring systems on several new and future rooftop commercial solar projects. In this role, you will work as the head Low Voltage Solar Technician on our ongoing commercial rooftop solar portfolio.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as Low Voltage Technician on commercial rooftop solar projects
- Install serial communications on solar projects that connect the system to utility, relays, and internet system monitoring
- Install and commission system monitoring equipment including Consumption CTs, communication gateways, relays, and switches
- Ability to read and deploy wiring and communication schematics and technical diagrams
- Knowledge of RS-485 and other serial communication protocols
- Communicate with manufacturer to trouble shoot issues and or RMA failing components
- Ability to utilize online portals to commission serial communication systems
- Troubleshooting communication issues on in-service commercial systems
- Communicates with field, admin staff, and ownership on ongoing project tasks and needs
- Continuous improvement of professional competencies
Qualifications and Skills:
- Professional with very strong work ethic
- Effective communicator
- Strong references
- Self-motivated and self-starter
- Must be a strong team player in the field
- Ability to work at heights
- 2 years as a low voltage technician or relevant (e.g. HVAC, circuit boards, thermostats, smart homes, electric, CCTV, audio/visual wiring etc.)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary $25-35/hour depending on experience
