FINANCIAL ADVISOR
ROLE OVERVIEW: Financial Advisor
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing, fiduciary-focused wealth management office in Walnut Creek, California, where strong client demand exists and there is meaningful opportunity to build and grow a client base within an established and expanding environment. The Financial Advisor will lead comprehensive planning engagements, manage ongoing client relationships, and serve as a trusted partner to individuals and families with increasingly complex financial needs. Advisors partner closely with internal planning, tax, estate, insurance, and client service teams to deliver integrated, client-centric solutions. This role sits within one of Allworth’s top-producing offices, with a collaborative team environment and continued investment in growth, including the integration of additional regional teams and an upgraded office space. The successful candidate will be a visible, in-office presence who contributes to a high standard of client engagement and overall office performance. The role offers a combination of potential transitioned client relationships over time alongside ongoing opportunities to engage new clients through internal referral channels. Success comes from building trust quickly, delivering thoughtful planning, and converting opportunities into long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Advisor
- Lead client discovery meetings and manage advisory relationships from onboarding through ongoing planning
- Develop, present, and implement comprehensive financial plans across investments, tax, estate, and insurance
- Assume responsibility for transitioned client relationships over time, delivering a high-touch client experience
- Engage and convert new client opportunities through internal referrals and relationship development
- Partner with internal specialists to deliver holistic, integrated advice
- Maintain strong CRM discipline, including documentation, follow-up, and pipeline management
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal stakeholders
- Maintain a consistent in-office presence and contribute positively to team culture and performance
Qualifications & Experience: Financial Advisor
- 5 years of client-facing financial planning or wealth management experience
- CFP® or CFA designation required; Series 65 or 66 required (or ability to obtain)
- Demonstrated ability to lead client meetings and deliver comprehensive financial plans independently
- Proven ability to convert opportunities into client relationships, ideally within referral-driven environments
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Professional presence and sound judgment in managing complex client situations
- A portable book of business is welcomed but not required
