Senior Director, Controller - Life Science Solutions

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Director, Controller to join the Life Sciences Solutions business, which designs and manufactures mass spectrometry and laboratory management systems. This is a newly created role, driven by long-term succession planning toward the VP level, and offers significant visibility and impact within a highly complex, global organization. This role reports directly to the VP of Finance and leads a team of two. The successful candidate will serve as the senior accounting leader for a business generating approximately $8B in annual revenue, operating in a highly regulated and technically complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and controllership activities for the Life Sciences Solutions division
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and internal controls
• Oversee complex revenue recognition and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Partner closely with shared services teams in Central America to ensure operational efficiency and consistency
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior finance leadership, supporting scalability and future growth
• Build and develop a high-performing accounting team while strengthening processes and governance

Requirements

• 10 years of accounting/finance leadership experience with a combination of public accounting and industry experience
• BA degree minimum
• CPA required (active license not required)
• Experience in leading a diverse global financial month-end while maintaining a strong control environment
• Proven experience operating in large, complex revenue environments
• Track record of managing accounting for organizations with $1B in annual revenue (experience at this scale is essential)
• Deep technical accounting expertise; this role requires a traditional controller profile rather than an FP&A or commercial finance background
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across global teams
