As the business continues to grow through acquisition and global expansion, it is strengthening its people and operating model across all Life Sciences divisions.
We are seeking a Director, Organisational Design to join the company’s HR function and support all Life Sciences businesses globally. This is an individual contributor role within a newly established Center of Excellence, created to bring consistency and scalability to how the organisation designs and evolves its operating models. This position is based on-site in Waltham, Massachusetts and works closely with HR Business Partners and senior leaders across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Lead organisational design initiatives across Life Sciences businesses, including structure, role clarity, decision rights, and operating models
- Develop practical toolkits, playbooks, and frameworks that leaders can use to scale teams effectively
- Support integration and redesign efforts resulting from acquisitions
- Partner closely with HR Business Partners to align organisational structures with business strategy
- Advise senior leaders on design trade-offs, workforce scalability, and long-term organisational effectiveness
- Translate complex challenges into clear, actionable solutions rather than academic theory
Requirements
- 10 years of HR/Talent Management experience with advanced expertise in organizational design, team effectiveness and change enablement.
- BA degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong background in organisational design, ideally gained through management or HR consulting
- Proven track record of influencing and collaborating with senior leaders, through strong consulting, communication, and customer management skills.
- Experience advising large, complex, multinational organisations
- Highly pragmatic, commercially minded, and solutions-oriented
- Exceptional communicator able to influence leaders without relying on formal authority
- Experience in Life Sciences or adjacent industries
