Director / Sr Director, Computational Vaccine Design & AI Platform
About the Role:
My client is building a next-generation computational vaccine discovery platform that runs repeatable discovery cycles, produces ranked vaccine candidates, and delivers decision-ready outputs with traceable evidence.
You’ll lead a small cross-functional team of scientists and engineers to own and scale this agentic AI RAG-based platform, standardizing workflows, ensuring reproducibility, and integrating experimental feedback.
What You’ll Bring:
- PhD or equivalent in computational biology, bioinformatics, or quantitative biology
- 10 years in computational discovery / AI-for-bio with cross-functional leadership
- Proven experience leading production-grade AI or agentic platforms
- Strong understanding of vaccine/antigen design, protein reasoning, or biologics
- Executive communication skills: able to convey uncertainty, tradeoffs, and evaluation metrics
Nice-to-Have:
- Vaccine or infectious disease experience (flu, dengue, flaviviruses)
- Knowledge graphs, ontologies, or biomedical semantic systems
- Hyperdimensional computing / Responsible AI
