The Middle School Religion and History Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards while creating a classroom environment that promotes academic excellence, faith formation, and respect for all.
Key Responsibilities
Teach History and Religion to students in Grades 6, 7, and 8.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote inquiry, critical thinking, and active learning.
Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions throughout instruction and classroom life.
Prepare students for meaningful participation in school liturgies, prayer services, retreats, and service opportunities.
Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative methods and provide timely feedback.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families.
Foster a respectful, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to support student success.
Utilize technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
Participate fully in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
